Best ever vegetarian burgers (burgurs) (patties), vegan, veggie burgers
Vegan burger recipe from scratch. Make the best ever vegetarian burger, fool the carnivores.. see if they can guess it’s not meat! Change it to your specifications, by substituting lentils, chick peas, kidney beans, navy beans, whatever protein you would like.

Mix together:
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 Tablespoon granulated garlic
1 Tablespoon raw onion or dehydrated onion flakes
2 heaping Tablespoons parsley
1 tsp chili powder (adjust to your taste, 1 tsp will be spicy!)
½ teaspoon of cumin and ½ teaspoon oregano (optional, change to your favorite
½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper
Add protein of your choice. I added 1/2 cup mashed black beans, and 1/2 cup precooked quinoa.)

Add wet ingredients:
1 cup hot water
1 Tablespoon soy sauce (I used dark soya sauce, add extra if you use light)
1 Tablespoon canola oil

Mix thoroughly.

Mixture will be runny, add up to ¾ cup of extra flour, mixing until thick.

Heat canola oil in a skillet on medium high, drop by spoonfuls into the skillet, cook until browned, and easy to turn. Turn, cover, and cook for approx. 5 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain.

(These patties can be frozen. Separate with waxed paper, and freeze for further use.
They can be heated in the microwave, in a skillet, or on the barbecue.)

Assemble on a bun with your favorite toppings, and serve with my BEST EVER OVEN FRIES! Link:

  23. i made this Saturday and it was a hit…i did have to add more bread crumbs but the flavors were amazing

  24. I've made this recipe so many times it's delicious!!!

  25. Where is the recipe?

  26. OMG! Vegans, why do you complain so much? Geez! She is obviously NOT a vegan, so why don't you just go to a vegan site? I'm mostly plant-based, but I do occasionally have meat and eggs, and I love Laura's recipes, so I go to both type of sites. But I don't complain, and gripe about people's diet choices, or the way the chef chooses to make his/her recipe. If I don't like what they put in their dish, I find another one!

  27. Do you think this could work being made without mushrooms ? I have everything except them :(

  28. looks good minus the salt

  29. Does anyone know what kind of pans she uses? I'm on the lookout for some new pans and I trust Laura's opinions!! Thank you guys :)

  34. Oh Laura, I am a big fan but since I turned vegan from Dec last year, I hardly watched your channel but just came across this video and I am stoked! Will you be able to do more vegetarian and/or vegan recipes pls? It will be great if you could do a play list for them too. Love your work!!

  35. To grill/BBQ this burger put them in a wire basket like you would put fish. it's flat and you can turn it without handling it. works great and no breaking. give it a try.

  36. This looks like a great recipe, I will absolutely make this but without the egg so it's vegan 😀. You are awesome Laura!

  37. oh my god you can replace eggs stop lollll

  38. Whoever has a problem witg tge egg, she never said this recipe was vegan? If you're so concerned with it being vegan, use a flax or chia seed "egg" (1tbs of ground chia or flax seed and 1-2tbs of hot water mixed and let it sit for 5min) or some avocado instead of being Captain Obvious. This is probably why she doesn't have more Vegetarian recipes and that's a shame because her recipies are delicious.
